Prof. (Dr.) Amarika Singh Guides Students During Enthusiastic Constitution Day Celebration at Vikrant University, Gwalior

The Vice-Chancellor of Vikrant University, Prof. America Singh, shed light on the significance of Constitution Day and provided information about the fundamental rights and duties enshrined in the Constitution.

Constitution Day was celebrated with great spirit at Vikrant University, Gwalior. On this occasion, Prof. America Singh, Vice-Chancellor of the university throws light on the importance of Constitution Day and highlight the acuteness on the fundamental rights and duties preserved in the Constitution. During this celebration, large number of students, faculty members, and staff were present.

The occasion began with Prof. America Singh reading the Preamble of the Indian Constitution and state it as the foundation of Indian democracy. He mainly admired the contribution of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, the architect of the Constitution, and said that the constitution designed by him grants each and every citizen of India the rights to equality, liberty, and fraternity.

Prof. America Singh focused on the importance of the Constitution, and defined the social, political, and legal framework of our country. It not only entrusted the rights of citizens but also makes us well aware of our duties and responsibilities. He prompted students to know and understand the basic rights and duties provided in the Constitution. He recognizes key fundamental rights, which includes the protection of rights, education, religion, freedom, and equality.

Along with this, he highlighted the duties spotlighted in the Constitution and state that every citizen has the duty to show respect and fulfill their responsibilities towards the mother nation, and together team up to eliminate the discrimination.

By the the end of the program, students took vows to hold in high regards for the Constitution. All the faculty members and students from every department of the university contributed in deliberation about the important aspects of the Constitution.

Major aim of this event was to give students a deep understanding of the Indian Constitution and to make them know about their roles and responsibilities towards it.

All the dignitaries, Pro-Chancellor Mr. Vikrant Singh Rathore, Dean of the School of Legal Studies Dr. Veer Narayan, Joint Director Dr. Sultan Singh, Gauri Shankar Dubey (Former Principal Secretary, Gwalior High Court), Prof. Anand Singh Bisen (Director of Engineering, Vikrant University) exhibited their presence which makes the event all the way more special.
