A Joyful Beginning to 2026
The New Year 2026 was a joyful occasion at Vikrant University with the celebration of a staff picnic under the theme of “Mitti and Moments” that took place on January 1st at the Sakatpura Farmhouse .The event was a refreshing break from academic life for faculty and staff members to enjoy some time together, relax with each other, and enter into the New Year with a positive attitude and happiness.
Celebration Close to Nature
The farmhouse location was an ideal environment for participants to enjoy a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere while also enjoying natural surroundings through the large open fields, many lush green trees and organically grown vegetables. As a result, attendees were able to find calmness and tranquillity in nature by being able to walk on the farm grounds, picking up fresh vegetables with their own hands and learning about how to grow vegetables using sustainable farming practices.
Fun-Filled Activities and Laughter
The day was filled with fun, energy, laughter, and competition amongst the faculty and staff members as they participated in many active group activities such as tug-of-war, musical chairs, passing the parcel, and matki phod. These activities allowed everyone to be happy and excited with each other and create a unique energy that filled the air with laughter and excitement. Through conversations and shared experiences during this fun-filled day, participants were able to strengthen their connections across departments.
Farm-Fresh Flavours and Togetherness
The picnic was enhanced by the wonderful Desi Barbecue which was cooked using produce from the local farms followed by the lunch. All the meals shared in the great outdoors led to the creation of long-lasting bonds and connections through laughter, fun and good conversations throughout the day.
Thrill and Inspiration: Jaanbaaz Biker’s Performance
The most memorable part of the Mitti and Moments Picnic was the wonderful stunt shown by the Jaanbaaz Biker Team of BSF (Border Security Force). Their expeditious display of skill, courage that captivated the audience, which brought great excitement and energy to the entire public and filled the atmosphere with cheer and pride
Music, Conversations, and a Lively Housie Session
The overall vibe of the celebrations was enhanced through music, singing and engaging in very meaningful conversation; contributing to an environment of relaxation and happiness. An engaging housie game added a bit of fun and excitement during the celebrations while keeping everyone engaged and upbeat until the end.
Strengthening Bonds Beyond the Campus
Mitti & Moments was more than just a picnic, it celebrates people, connections and shared values. The event helped Vikrant University to reaffirm its commitment to creating a positive, inclusive and connected Workplace Culture, where well-being, collaboration and happiness are just as important as excellence in academics.
A New Year Filled with Positivity
This picnic represented the productive and a positive start to the year. Everybody left the picnic with refreshed energy and motivation. Vikrant University wishes a Happy and Prosperous New Year to all its Faculty and Staff as it continues to grow as a collective entity, harvesting happiness, unity and excellence.
