Commemorating the 77th Republic Day of India with Pride and Purpose
Vikrant University celebrated the 77th Republic Day of India with pride, dignity, and a patriotic spirit. The 77th Republic Day celebration was not just an event; it was a tribute to the values of justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity—some of the most important values that underpin the Constitution. Students and faculty participated in a delightful manner in honouring India’s democratic heritage by pledging to continue supporting its growth and prosperity.
Vikrant University had the pleasure of having Mr. Rajesh Chhabra, Director of Plant Operations at Mondelez India, serve as the Chief Guest on this day. Also present at the event were Vikrant University's Chancellor, Shri Rakesh Singh Rathore, and several dignitaries, whose presence lent significance and dignity to Republic Day.
Flag Hoisting and NCC Parade
The ceremony begins with the ceremonial flag raising followed by the National Salute. Upon the unfurling of the tri-coloured flag, one could see that all were filled with pride and reverence as they saluted a symbol of who we all are as a nation. The singing of the National Anthem at that moment brought everyone together in one moment of appreciation and nationalism.
The NCC Cadets from Vikrant University also put on a very disciplined, outstanding parade of their commitment, coordination and dedication to serving their country. Their parade was a representation of youth leadership, discipline and a National commitment to serve our country.
Cultural Performances Showcasing Unity in Diversity
Vikrant University provided an exciting way to celebrate the cultural heritage of India through a variety of performances by the students during the cultural component of the program. The students sang patriotic songs, participated in energetic dance performances, and gave touching narratives about India’s glorious culture and heritage that included paying tribute to the sacrifices made by the freedom fighters of the country. The way that the students engaged the audience through their performances exhibited the spirit of unity in diversity. The impact that this had on all in attendance will last a lifetime.
Participation in the Patriotic March
Vikrant University is committed to ensuring that its commitment goes beyond the boundaries of the campus. By actively participating in a Patriotic March, students, and faculty attended the march pridefully and enthusiastically, continuing to reflect the university's commitment to producing responsible, active, and nationally aware citizens within the society.
A Memorable Tribute to the Nation
The dynamic spectacle of a flying tricolor has been permanently imprinted in each of our minds and leaves us all with just one thought; While we must be grateful for the freedom we have to protect ourselves, we also have; as a country, a responsibility to maintain our united front if we are to be successful in constructing a better place for ourselves.
By continuing to establish foundations based off of these foundational characteristics, Vikrant University is developing students who will become nationalists, leaders and responsible citizens and therefore provide for a stronger and more self-sufficient India.
