Spark Ideas for Future Innovation
Vikrant University IGNITE 2026 organized by the School of Engineering & Technology (First Year) held in March 2026 .It was an exhibition and competition. The theme of the event was “innovating today for a smarter tomorrow”. A lively space where young thinkers could transform their concepts into tangible creations.
IGNITE’s goal was to provide a podium for students to show their creativity, technical knowledge, and innovative ideas under the theme of “Building a Better Future by Innovating Today. Overall, students and faculty were enthusiastic about participating in the event and displayed eagerness as they shared their creative ideas in the form of posters and models.
A Showcase of Creativity and Technical Excellence
To be able to provide a venue for student to display their ideas and development process, IGNITE combined two components: A "Poster Presentation" Competition and a "Model Exhibition" Competition. The various posters and models submitted by students represented their innovative ideas for developing creative solutions to everyday problems faced by the general public today.
The exhibition gave students the perfect opportunity to explore new technologies and to improve their presentation, critical thinking and communication skills . The level of student participation in the event, along with the originality of the ideas displayed, was commendable.
Guidance from Esteemed Academicians
An additional component to the positive experiences of this event included sessions provided by the reputable academicians Dr A.K. Shrivastava and Dr D.C. Tiwari, both from Jiwaji University, Gwalior. These knowledgeable individuals were a significant contribution due to their presentations allowing students to acquire further information on how important research, innovation, and ongoing learning are in today’s fast-paced world.
Furthermore, their interaction with the students went beyond their formal sessions, fuelling the students’ curiosity, ability to ask questions, and forward-thinking abilities: characteristics that all engineers and innovator should possess in the future.
An Engaging Learning Environment
The events were hosted at Ashoka Auditorium and VITM Building, IGNITE 2026 was an excellent opportunity to create a stimulating environment which fostered all the opportunities for interaction, experience, and collaborative learning. This was accomplished by providing the students time to present their ideas to the group, confident in their ability to do so, be provided with helpful suggestion regarding their presentations, learn from the various groups providing diversity in thinking.
The enthusiasm, energy, and engagement of the students through their participation created an exciting, enjoyable, and memorable experience for all involved in the event.
Celebrating Innovation and Achievement
The event ended with a recognition ceremony in which the outstanding participants were given certificates and cash prizes. Students put immense efforts in their projects to get their projects awarded for presentation and innovation.
This recognition serves as a catalyst for the students to keep learning, experimenting and innovating.

The program IGNITE 2026 depicts creation of culture by Vikrant University in spreading Innovation, Creativity and Excellence. By encouraging students to experiment with things and think outside the box ,the university is preparing them for tomorrow – at an early age.
