The B.Tech in Cyber Security program at Vikrant University, Gwalior, is a four year undergraduate program that provides students with the knowledge and skills necessary to become skilled cybercrime defence professionals.

All courses will begin with an introduction to Computing Fundamentals, which is outlined in the curriculum. The goal of this program is to give students the information they need to understand how attackers think, based on what previous students have learned, so that they can find ways to avoid potential threats and develop skills to do so. For example, students will take courses in ethical hacking, network security, cryptography, and digital forensics, which will give them a strong foundation for protecting themselves against real-world attacks.

Curriculum and Syllabus

The Btech Cyber Security program consists of 8 semesters worth of coursework along with some hands on experience. During the first two years of the course students will complete coursework related to basic technologies such as mathematics, programming, databases and computer networking, building their foundation in Technical Subjects. In the latter part of the programme, students will take specific Cyber Security courses focused on topics including Cryptography and Network Security; Ethical Hacking; Digital Forensics; Cyber Law; Cloud Security; and Secure Software Development. The Cyber Security course topics will assist students in developing a more thorough knowledge and skill using both offensive and defensive technologies as they relate to Cyber Security.
