IEEE Student Branch at Vikrant University
The IEEE Student Branch at Vikrant University is a pathway for advocacy, technical excellence, leadership, and innovation. We provide students valuable practical experience, enhancing their academic background in engineering and technology, through workshops, seminars, research projects, and global collaboration.
Our vision is to engage, support, and empower students by offering students the opportunities to practice leadership, teamwork and hands-on experience in engineering and technology. The Student Branch is an opportunity for students to foster relationships with fellow students, faculty and industry professionals to maximize their personal and professional development.

Key Activities
Codathon: Find It, Fix It, Conquer It!
On Date July 28, 2025; The IEEE Student Branch, School of Engineering & Technology, Vikrant University, organized a coding competition CODATHON – 2025.
Competition held across Twelve shortlisted teams from the School of Engineering & Technology and School of Computer Application, consists of three challenging rounds:
- The Multiple-choice Question Gauntlet – theoretical and fundamental knowledge test;
- Debugging Showdown – Code Corrections In real-time
- Code Clash – programming challenges.
The competition was graced by the presence of Registrar Ms. Richa Verma and Dr. Shashank Swami, Head Department of Computer Science & Engineering, they addressed the students encouraged and inspired them in the event. Program was coordinated by Prof. Surjeet Singh, Student Coordinator – Jatin Singh Dounderiya and Sahil Bamoriya, and all the student leaders of IEEE student Branch contributions in making the event successful and heartfelt appreciation to all the team for their commendable effort.

Seminar on “Industry 4.0 Revolution”
The IEEE Student Branch conducted a seminar called “Harnessing IoT and Startups towards Smart Future.” Mr. Abhijeet Bhoyar (CEO, SenseLive) delivered the keynote address on entrepreneurship trends and developments around industry 4.0, and it provided a valuable experience for students aspiring towards their innovative future.
It was an incredible session full of learning, inspiration, and a realistic understanding of how the current trend of industrial technologies is shaping the future of businesses. Mr. Bhoyar shared his experience of being a startup founder and project consultant to challenge students to think more creatively and embrace a technology transformation.
This event was just one opportunity to educate our students about enterprise, start-ups, actual industry practices and get them excited about being curious, creative and ready for the future.
Seminar on “Introduction to Research and Research Paper Writing”
“Introduction to Research and Research Paper Writing”- A seminar conducted on 14th April, 2025 by the IEEE Student Branch, Vikrant University, Gwalior. The session led by Prof. Dr. Shashank Swami, whose profound expertise in Computer Science and Data Mining, offered students a inclusionary understanding of the research process & publication.
Dr. Swami elaborated the foundational principles of academic research, methodologies, and nuances of writing research papers. The seminar proved exceedingly insightful, especially for students; inspired to contribute in scholarly research and technological innovation.
The event concluded with the special address by Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor Sir, whose presence made this occasion auspicious.
This seminar marked a significant measure by the IEEE Student Branch in growing a culture of Inquiry, innovation, and academic integrity among the student community.
Tech Quiz Bowl Event
An Event (Quiz Competition) “Tech Quiz Bowl” was held on Date: 2025, 19 June, organized by IEEE Student Branch, School of Engineering & Technology, Vikrant University, Gwalior.
Student participated from the School of Engineering & Technology and the School of Computer & Application, students go through the three rounds lied upon IEEE fundamentals, AI & ML concepts, and a rapid-fire segment.
Participants answered vigorously, competition led to an unexpected decisive tie-breaker round, escalating the collision and unveiling the commendable preparedness and analytical approach of the participants. The event was held in the presence of the Respected Vice-Chancellor, Managing Director, Director School of Engineering & Technology, Members of the Executive Committee (IEEE), Student members, and Volunteers; the presence of all and encouragement filled the spirit of the quiz competition.
The event, magnified by perspicacious addresses and culminating with the recognition of the winners, stood as a testament to academic rigor, student-led coordination, and the vibrant culture of creation & innovation nurtured at Vikrant University.

IEEE Student Branch Inauguration
IEEE Branch Inauguration – April 12, 2025
The official opening of the IEEE Student Branch at Vikrant University coincided with Dr. G.S. Tomar (Chair, IEEE MP Section) and Dr. Ashish Singhal (Vice Chair SAC, Secretary IES) visiting Vikrant University. Over 150 students participated in the inaugural event, which included the induction of leaders and an IEEE oath taking ceremony.
