KEY ACTIVITIES
Introductory Session on the occasion of Diksharambh 2025
On Date Aug 7, 2025, IEEE Student Branch, Vikrant University, held an “Introductory Session” on the occasion of Orientation Program – Diksharambh 2025, organized by School of Engineering & Technology.
In the session IEEE Student Branch welcomes the new students 2025-26 students batch, School of Engineering & Technology. Ms. Anamika Pandey, secretary IEEE Student Branch, introduced the branch, its Mission & Vision, and upcoming Branch Activities. She elaborate branch including the description about – Members, Technical workshops, Competitions, Career building opportunities to help students access IEEE resources, leadership roles and global professional network. She explained how IEEE Student Branch at our University connects students with global technical resources, peer networks and more opportunities. She explained about conferences, and community projects that helps members access IEEE Xplore, Scholarship, travel grants and professional development.

Codathon: Find It, Fix It, Conquer It!
On July 28, 2025, the IEEE Student Branch, School of Engineering & Technology, Vikrant University, organized a coding competition CODATHON – 2025.
The competition featured twelve shortlisted teams from the School of Engineering & Technology and School of Computer Application, consisting of three challenging rounds:
- The Multiple-choice Question Gauntlet – a theoretical and fundamental knowledge test;
- Debugging Showdown – real-time code corrections;
- Code Clash – programming challenges.
The competition was graced by the presence of Registrar Ms. Richa Verma and Dr. Shashank Swami, Head Department of Computer Science & Engineering, they addressed the students encouraged and inspired them in the event. Program was coordinated by Prof. Surjeet Singh, Student Coordinator – Jatin Singh Dounderiya and Sahil Bamoriya, and all the student leaders of IEEE student Branch contributions in making the event successful and heartfelt appreciation to all the team for their commendable effort.

Seminar on “Industry 4.0 Revolution”
The IEEE Student Branch conducted a seminar titled “Harnessing IoT and Startups towards Smart Future.” Mr. Abhijeet Bhoyar (CEO, SenseLive) delivered the keynote address on entrepreneurship trends and developments in Industry 4.0, providing a valuable experience for students aspiring to shape their innovative future.
It was an incredible session filled with learning, inspiration, and practical insights into how modern industrial technologies are transforming businesses. Mr. Bhoyar shared his personal journey as a startup founder and project consultant, challenging students to think creatively and embrace technological change.
The event served as a great opportunity to educate students about enterprise, startups, and real-world industry practices—encouraging them to stay curious, creative, and ready for the future.
Seminar on “Introduction to Research and Research Paper Writing”
The IEEE Student Branch, Vikrant University, Gwalior conducted a seminar titled “Introduction to Research and Research Paper Writing” on April 14, 2025. The session was led by Prof. Dr. Shashank Swami, whose profound expertise in Computer Science and Data Mining offered students an inclusive understanding of the research process and publication techniques.
Dr. Swami elaborated on the foundational principles of academic research, various methodologies, and the essential nuances of writing impactful research papers. The seminar proved highly insightful, particularly for students inspired to contribute to scholarly research and technological innovation.
The event concluded with a special address by the Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor Sir, whose presence made the occasion even more auspicious and motivating for all attendees.
This seminar marked a significant initiative by the IEEE Student Branch in nurturing a culture of inquiry, innovation, and academic integrity among the student community.
Tech Quiz Bowl Event
The “Tech Quiz Bowl” — a quiz competition — was held on June 19, 2025, organized by the IEEE Student Branch, School of Engineering & Technology, Vikrant University, Gwalior.
Student participated from the School of Engineering & Technology and the School of Computer & Application, students go through the three rounds lied upon IEEE fundamentals, AI & ML concepts, and a rapid-fire segment.
Participants answered vigorously, competition led to an unexpected decisive tie-breaker round, escalating the collision and unveiling the commendable preparedness and analytical approach of the participants. The event was held in the presence of the Respected Vice-Chancellor, Managing Director, Director School of Engineering & Technology, Members of the Executive Committee (IEEE), Student members, and Volunteers; the presence of all and encouragement filled the spirit of the quiz competition.
Enriched by insightful addresses and concluding with the recognition of the winners, the event stood as a testament to academic excellence, teamwork, and innovation fostered at Vikrant University.

IEEE Student Branch Inauguration
The IEEE Student Branch Inauguration was held on April 12, 2025, marking a significant milestone for Vikrant University in fostering innovation and technical excellence among students.
The official opening coincided with the visit of Dr. G. S. Tomar (Chair, IEEE MP Section) and Dr. Ashish Singhal (Vice Chair SAC, Secretary IES). Their presence added immense value and inspiration to the ceremony.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from over 150 students and featured the induction of new leaders, followed by an IEEE Oath Taking Ceremony — symbolizing commitment to innovation, ethics, and professional growth under the IEEE.
