Introduction
Vikrant University, Gwalior, celebrated India’s 79th Independence Day with great enthusiasm and pride. We have turned another glorious page on the journey of our great nation. The celebrations on campus demonstrated not just the joy of freedom but were also a testimony to our deepest gratitude for the sacrifices made by so many people, including our ancestors, who gave us independence.
Flag Hoisting Ceremony
The day began with the flag hoisting ceremony as the Tricolor was hoisted, and a patriotic atmosphere engulfed everyone. Students, faculty, and staff members dedicated our national anthem with feeling and pride.
Cultural Performances and Speeches
The program included cultural performances and speeches of substance. Student performances of creativity and love for the country were demonstrated through songs, dances, and orations on India’s glorious past and bright future.
NCC Parade and Patriotic March
The highlight of the day was the NCC parade. The discipline and symmetry of the parade were impressive, and every student participant displayed the strength of youth and awareness of our responsibilities to our country.
Through all the campus festivities, we concluded the day with a spirited Patriotic March on campus. Students and faculty marched around the campus carrying flags and banners and chanting slogans that conveyed our urge for freedom, unity, and responsibility. The march also served as a symbol of collective resolve, national pride, and renewed energy and commitment to pursuing the advancement of our country.
Patriotic Walk
The University hosted a Patriotic Walk, where each department united as one to celebrate being Indian. As participants, we could honor and reflect on the sacrifices of our freedom fighters who have gone before us and remind students to contribute towards the progress of a strong and self-reliant India.
Conclusion
Independence Day 2025 for Vikrant University was not just about celebration — it was about our responsibilities as citizens, a legacy, and a commitment to uphold the ideals of freedom and democracy.
