Language is the best way to express one’s views, ideas and opinions. It is the medium by which we can communicate well anywhere. It can make us enable to communicate everywhere either in house, neighbourhood or in the society. If a person has good command over a language, he/she can get success in his profession or in business in the country or outside the country. He/she will prove his competence everywhere if he/she knows many languages.
Why This
Nowadays, educational institutions have begun offering language courses as a result of realizing how important it is to learn a language. There are many regional and foreign languages spoken in the country and abroad. Many colleges and universities have introduced new language courses recently. Some institutions have been continuing their language courses by adopting new changes since their establishment.
Vikrant University in Gwalior is one of the emerging universities in Madhya Pradesh. In this university languages like Hindi and English have been taught to the students with all the courses since the beginning of the college of engineering. English is one of the foreign languages which is a language of communication at national or international level. English Foundation and communicative courses are taught to the students of all streams. Another Foreign language course that is French language is introduced in the university since 2022.
French Certificate Course is started in the university as it is taken as the first step to learn and begin the learning of the French language. Its duration is of six months in which a student can get the basic knowledge of the language and starts to communicate in the language.
Benefits of the Program
During the period of six months, the student has to give some tests and examinations to show his learning, understanding and progress. His performance has been checked in the classroom activities also. After qualifying the examination and viva the student is given marksheet and certificate of completion of the course. After completing the certificate course, the student may do further diploma of six months in the same language. If he wishes he may do masters course or some more levels of the language which are internationally recognized to get perfection in the French language.
French language is spoken in many parts of the world. People use it as spoken language or official language in India and abroad. It is the second wide spread language after English. It has wide scope as it is used internationally. So, the students who know this language can get better job opportunities in India as well as abroad. They may contribute with their efficiency in various sectors. They may get jobs in the fields like tour and travel industry, business sectors, service sectors and in educational field. They may become tourist guides, entrepreneurs, educators, interpreters and translators if they are skilled and efficient in the French language.
Teaching, learning and enhancing the language learnt and taught may not only give large amount of money but also earns fame to the person who makes himself/herself devoted to the language.
